Important Information About the Transition

 E-statements

If you would like to continue to receive E-statements, you must be an online banking user and re-enroll fro E-statements through online banking. If you are currently an online banking user, you will be prompted to enroll when you log in for the first time.

If you are currently not an online banking user, you must enroll for online banking as a first time user.

Please follow these instructions to enroll in online banking.

  1. Go to 1stConstitution.com  and click the "First Time User?" link  from the Online Banking button.                                     
  2. On the next page, enter any of your 1st Constitution Bank account numbers as the Access ID.
  3. Choose the appropriate type of account from the drop-down menu.
  4. Enter your last 4-digits of your social security number or Tax ID as the password.
  5. Click the Submit button and follow the steps to complete the enrollment process.

Online Banking and Bill Payment

The following information provides you with additional details about the merger to 1st Constitution Bank for Online Banking and Bill Payment.

02/07/14 – System: Rumson Online Banking

  • You will have access to look at your accounts and transaction history; however you will not have access to account transfers and bill payment. 
  • Remember to printout any online history you may want to retain.
  • At the end of the day, the conversion process begins and online access will be down.  A system maintenance message will appear.
  • We suggest that you do not schedule any bill payments or account transfers on Friday, February 7th through Monday, February 10th to ensure your payments are properly processed and you do not incur a late fee.

02/09/14 - System: 1st Constitution Online Banking

  • We anticipate you will be able to sign on to your online banking. Please visit 1stConstitution.com and look for the notice for online banking availability on the homepage.
  • Your access ID for online banking is your existing Rumson/Asbury user ID; however it is case-sensitive and must be entered in lowercase letters.
  • If your current user ID/access ID is less than 6 characters, you will be prompted to choose a new one based on the user ID requirements.
  • For the password, you will enter the last 4-digits of your social security number or Tax ID of the accountholder who registered for online banking. You will be prompted to change your password.   
  • Bill Payment will not be available.

02/10/14 - System: 1st Constitution Online Banking

  • Bill Payment will not be available until Monday, February 10th. Please visit 1stConstitution.com and look for the notice for bill payment availability on the homepage.

Debit Cards and ATM Cards

Please note, on February 7, 2014, your existing Rumson Fair-Haven card will be deactivated and you can begin using your new 1st Constitution card.

Your 1st Constitution ATM/VISA debit card was mailed on January 21, 2014.  Your VISA debit card can be activated as soon as you receive your new card. You can select a PIN (personal identification number) during the activation process.

To activate your ATM card, please use the PIN number you received in the mail and activate your card at any 1st Constitution ATM machine.

To activate your  Business VISA debit card, please use the last 4-digits of your business Tax ID number to activate your card. Your Business VISA debit card can be activated as soon as you receive your new card. You can select a PIN (personal identification number) during the activation process.

Please be aware if you use your Rumson Fair-Haven card at a 1st Constitution ATM machine before your Rumson card has been deactivated, you may be surcharged. Please contact your local branch to be reimbursed for the fee.

Your card transactions may be delayed in posting to your account. Please keep track of your transactions and account balance to prevent overdrawing your account.

ATM Machines

Please be advised that on February 6, 2014, the ATM machines at the Rumson Fair-Haven branch locations will be unavailable until the machines are converted to 1st Constitution's ATM system.   We expect service to be restored by Monday, February 10, 2014.

Loans

If you have an Overdraft Line of Credit, your loan account number will be changing to the same account number as your checking account.
