A: Popmoney is an easy, fast and secure online personal payment service that lets you send and receive money to and from others directly from your bank account.
Q: How can I use Popmoney?
A: Pay your landlord, babysitter, your cousin, or your co-worker. People are using Popmoney to pay for things like shared phone bills, paying back a friend for lunch or sending money to your child at college. You can also use Popmoney to request money.
Q: How do I enroll in Popmoney?
A: If you are enrolled in Personal Online Banking and Bill Payment, then you are automatically enrolled in Popmoney.
Q: How do I access Popmoney?
A: Access Popmoney by logging on to Online Banking and click on the Popmoney button within Bill Pay.
Q: How do I send money?
A: To send money you will provide Popmoney with the recipient's email address, mobile phone number or account information. You will be notified when the money has been sent. Â
Q: Is Popmoney secure?
A: The Popmoney website is regularly scanned for security vulnerabilities by Versign and Popmoney privacy and security procedures are certified by TRUSTe. Popmoney uses one-time verification codes that are sent to the recipient's mobile device or email address where the payment notification was sent prevent an unauthorized person from fraudulently claim someone else's payment.
Q: What information do I need to send money?
A: All you need is the recipient's email address or mobile phone number.
Q: What is the transaction limit?
A: Daily limit up to $500 and weekly, up to $10,000. Limits may vary. Your individual limit will be displayed when you go through the process of sending money.
Q: Can I send payments outside the United States?
A: Payments can not be delivered outside the United States.
Q: What kind of payment accounts can I use with Popmoney?
A: You can only send money from your checking or money market accounts. Â
Q: When will the recipient receive the money?
A: It depends on when the recipient provides their account information. Once the account information is received, the recipient will generally receive the money the next business day.
Q: Why didn't my recipient receive a text message even though I entered their mobile phone number?
A: Their mobile carrier may not support receiving text messages from Popmoney. The recipient should contact their carrier to resolve this issue.
